Shortlist: House Alteration and Addition under 200 square metres
Virginia Kerridge Architect for Kensington House
This project explores the idea of "grafting", a concept often used in japanese gardens. The new additions are carefully grafted onto the old. In certain areas the "grafting" is expressed such as the parasol roof that links the old and new areas.
