Shortlist: New House over 200 square metres
Auhaus Architecture for Torquay Concrete House
Designed for a concreter, this house fully embraces the craft of the material. Tightly hemmed on both sides, the house is a walled sanctuary, opening up onto a central north facing courtyard and roof gardens planted with local vegetation. Timber battening and brass detailing throughout provide patterning and warmth.
