Commendation: House in a Heritage Context

Considered interventions into the original fabric of the house, built in 1861, early in the history of Fitzroy, Melbourne's first suburb, produce a cohesive expression that preserves the heritage building. The changes are small but potent; they either wrap or are inserted, they are never simply added or deliberately separate.
