Shortlist: House Alteration and Addition over 200 square metres
MAArchitects for Cardigan Place Residence
The Cardigan Place project accommodates three generations, providing a new ‘aging-in-place’ home for the owners while their family use the existing house. Responding to the heritage context, the expressive, screened façades reference patterns in the existing iron lacework, casting shifting patterns and presenting a visually intriguing face to the street.
