Shortlist: House Alteration and Addition over 200 square metres
Philip Stejskal Architecture for Orient Street House
This project was conceived around the ruins of an 1890’s stable and a 1924 cottage addition. We stabilised and restored the old rubble walls, before surrounding them with an expressed timber frame, protecting and highlighting the historical fragments, new spaces gathering around and hovering over them.
