Taylor and Hinds Architects for James Street
A compact brick townhouse, James Street is located on the rim of Launceston’s colonial streetscapes. The tight site condition, and the seasonal presence of a century-old walnut tree is resolved in a strategy of walled courtyards, terraces, and lofting interior volumes, allowing measured access to sunlight and civic prospects.
