The brief was for an efficient and resilient off-grid home with a low carbon footprint that aligned with nature. It would respond to bushfire, a changing climate, ageing in place and flexibility of use for visiting guests.

A biophilic Passivhaus with low-embodied carbon, bio-based materials became the aim!
