Shortlist: House Alteration and Addition under 200 square metres
MGA.I for Blue Magnolia
Blue Magnolia melds an existing heritage-listed colonial cottage with new, simple, rectangular building forms, creating a contemporary space for modern living. The existing building fabric is highlighted by careful detailing and insertions of light internally, while the dark-coloured extension houses amenities and is visually subservient to the original structure.
